Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 16, 2026
1. Scope and Controller
This Privacy Policy explains how Leaplogger collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website, applications, team features, support channels, and billing flows. Unless we say otherwise, Leaplogger is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
If you use Leaplogger through an employer, client, or other organization, that organization may also act as a controller of certain workspace data. In those cases, you may need to contact that organization for certain privacy requests relating to shared team content.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, password credentials, support requests, billing contact details, and any information you include in notes, sessions, team messages, or workspace content.
We also collect account and product metadata, including session identifiers, team membership and role information, invite status, feature usage events, subscription status, plan tier, note and session metadata, archived/deleted item metadata, and basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.
We receive payment and subscription information from Stripe, authentication data from Auth0 and other sign-in providers you use, verification and abuse-prevention signals from Cloudflare Turnstile, analytics data from Vercel Analytics, and email delivery metadata from our email service providers. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
We may automatically collect technical information such as device/browser type, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, referral source, visited pages, interaction events, crash/error data, and cookie or similar identifier data used to operate, secure, measure, and improve the service.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to provide and maintain Leaplogger, authenticate users, create and manage accounts, store and organize notes and sessions, enable team features, process invitations, and personalize the product experience.
We also use personal information to process billing and subscription changes, send transactional emails, provide customer support, monitor performance, analyze traffic, troubleshoot issues, enforce our Terms, prevent abuse, and protect the security of our systems, users, and data.
Where applicable, we may use information for compliance, auditing, fraud prevention, enforcing legal rights, responding to lawful requests, and defending against claims.
4. Legal Bases
Depending on your location, our legal bases for processing may include: performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving Leaplogger, complying with legal obligations, and your consent where consent is required.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, secure the service, and understand how visitors interact with Leaplogger.
We use analytics tools, including Vercel Analytics, to understand traffic patterns, performance, and engagement. If ads are shown on the free tier, Google AdSense or related advertising technologies may collect information as described in Google’s own privacy documentation. Ad availability and data collection may depend on your browser settings, consent choices, region, and ad blocker configuration.
6. Sharing of Information
We share information with service providers that help us operate Leaplogger, such as infrastructure providers, authentication providers, payment processors, email providers, analytics providers, security and anti-abuse providers, and support tools.
We may share information within team workspaces according to workspace permissions and user roles. Notes, sessions, shared content, team messages, membership information, and activity history may be visible to authorized members and administrators.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to enforce our agreements, to detect or prevent fraud or security issues, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money. We also do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising except to the extent that third-party advertising or analytics technologies on the service are legally treated as such in your jurisdiction.
7. Payments and Subscription Data
Payments are processed by Stripe. We store limited billing metadata needed to manage subscriptions, such as customer identifiers, subscription identifiers, plan status, renewal state, and billing lifecycle events. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
If you join a Team workspace while you have an active individual subscription, we may process the subscription transition you confirm in the product so that billing and access align with the team workspace.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain accounts and workspaces, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect the security and integrity of Leaplogger.
Retention periods may vary depending on the data type, whether the data is active, archived, soft-deleted, required for billing or security records, or subject to a valid deletion request or legal hold.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include authentication controls, encrypted connections, access restrictions, rate limiting, abuse prevention tools, and operational monitoring.
No service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and using the service in a reasonably secure manner.
10. International Transfers
Leaplogger and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws of your jurisdiction.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
You may also be able to update account details directly in the product. To submit a privacy request, contact support@leaplogger.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
12. Children's Privacy
Leaplogger is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide additional notice as appropriate. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
